One of the biggest choices in planning a wedding is the venue. Sorting through all of the possible wedding venues in Maryland can trigger information overload. I’ve spoken with so many couples who are totally overwhelmed with finding a place for their big day. All the planning, research, meetings, tours, and phone calls in the search for the perfect venue for their wedding can be so overwhelming. As a result, some of my couples have actually been forced to take a break and collect themselves!
That’s why I’ve compiled this list of my absolute favorite venues in Maryland. There’s something here for everyone! Personally, I prefer wedding venues that are not only pretty places to photograph but are also comfortable and enjoyable for your wedding guests. The Grand Baltimore
This historic building is one of my favorite wedding venues in Maryland – it is absolutely beautiful! Boasting nineteen grand ballrooms spread over five floors, this venue is one of the most sought-after in the city. Originally designed to be a masonic temple, the marble work throughout the property is exquisite! I love that this venue is in the heart of the city. It is so easy to head on over to different locations without having to travel too far. This is just an added bonus since you really don’t need to leave the building. Evergreen Museum and Library
The Evergreen Museum and Library provides a charming wedding venue for your special day. George Peabody Library

Royal Sonesta
The Royal Sonesta Harbor Court is situated at the picturesque inner harbor of Baltimore, Maryland. The hotel is within walking distance from the downtown area and happens to be one of the city’s biggest attractions. This particular hotel is located directly in front of the picturesque waterfront, which presents a stunning sight. The Elkridge Furnace Inn
Located in Howard County, Maryland you will find an absolutely picturesque wedding venue. With over twelve acres of green land, centered with a pergola, growing trees, and passionate life on state park property, it boasts a world of adventure to be had. During the wedding day, your guests will enjoy unique and ceremonious views. At the same time, the entire wedding party can enjoy the serene atmosphere sipping on a glass of champagne in one of the two reception venues.
After 210 years of life in Maryland, The Elkridge Furnace Inn carries a stunning historic value. This location’s origins were as a worker’s dwelling after iron ore was found in the 1700s flowing through the nearby Patapsco River.

After you’ve chosen your wedding venue, the next step would be to connect with a wedding photographer and wedding planner. Those are the next two vendors who are more than likely going to book up the fastest.
