Warm Winter Wedding at the Elkridge Furnace Inn
I absolutely LOVE the Elkridge Furnace Inn! This sweet little spot in Elkridge, Maryland is such a BEAUTIFUL location.
But I get ahead of myself.
This warm winter wedding started off at Amanda’s house for the bridal prep, and you could not have asked for a more laid back group of people! From the moment I stepped into their house, you could tell this was a fun, loving family. When it came time for dad’s first look, get ready for the waterworks! He presented her with one of the most unique necklaces I’ve ever seen. He gave her a teardrop-shaped pendant that had floating mother of pearl flecks that would swirl around like a snow globe. Absolutely GORGEOUS!
From there, the bridal party hopped onto a trolley to head over to St. Augustine Church in Elkridge. I absolutely love this church. If you’ve ever been there, you will definitely remember the blue ceiling that looks like a star-filled sky. So unique, and just breathtaking. Following their catholic mass ceremony, we topped it off with a group photo in front of the church.
After we were finished at St. Augustine’s, Amanda, Ricky and myself headed down to Old Town Ellicott City. The three of us were going to meet up at the Phoenix Emporium, only to be turned away. We didn’t know at the time, but Gordon Ramsay was getting ready to make a big announcement that he was going to be shooting a television show in the city. Instead, we walked around the city for some bridal portraits and met the rest of the party at The Trolley Stop at the conclusion of the session.
Finally, everyone converged at The Elkridge Furnace Inn. It was a perfect afternoon, and we lucked out with some unseasonably warm weather for a February in Maryland! Utilizing the grounds at the Elkridge Furnace Inn is always a great time, and there are so many different places to go!
